Around Matbordet (the Dining Table) we are creating a here-and-now experience in collaboration with our guests, featuring seasonal produce, insight into the culinary process and up close expertise that brings lively discussions. A new and exciting dining experience.
Matbordet has room for 10 guests and will feature different activities on a daily basis. We are currently starting out with two basic activities: on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays we select three commodities based on what is available in terms of the season and what tastes best right now. On Fridays and Saturdays we break bread with new people and cooking food from five selected ingredients in “5 Produce”. Other days Matbordet will function as Mathias Dahlgren’s development kitchen.

Matbordet, we will be working with the best fresh produce available right now, which is why we will not be offering a set menu. Furthermore, the price will vary depending on the activity, the expertise at hand and the fresh produce of the day. Please notice that we speak Swedish and English around Matbordet.

Christmas at Matbordet
Around Matbordet (The Dining Table), we create a here-and-now experience in collaboration with 10 guests, featuring seasonal produce, insight into the culinary process and up-close expertise. By placing the chef at the table, we have blurred the boundaries and cut out a couple of traditional restaurant stages in order to bring the process as close to the guest as possible. Together at Matbordet, the guests and chef take part in a dynamic conversation, exchanging experiences, creating new ones and learning from each other.
From November 24 to December 19, we will be welcoming in Christmas and creating a unique experience at Matbordet, where one of our chefs will be cooking up five courses featuring the tastes and flavours of the traditional Christmas smörgåsbord with a novel approach. Perfect for those looking for a different and exclusive alternative to the classic Christmas lunch or dinner. Tuesday-Saturday from November 24 to December 19.

Matbordet is a place for discussions and knowledge sharing, ideal for both private dinners and business activities, daytime or in the evening. Based on your thoughts and ideas, we create an attractive event.
Why does the meal look the way it does, and how will the meal be developed in the future? We eat together and talk about a topic. Our invited guest will share their particular expertise and experience and we learn from each other – guests, chefs, ideologists, scientists and producers.
